Mega medical camp lined up

IMPHAL, Oct 3 : To bridge the healthcare gap in Manipur, a three-day mega medical camp will be organised from October 5 to 7 across multiple locations in the State by the Assam Rifles in close coordination with the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
According to a press release issued by IGAR (S), medical teams will be deployed at Lilong, Moreh, Chakpikarong and Sajik on October 5; Tuibong, Pallel and Joupi on October 6 and Kangpokpi, Hiangtam Lamka and Sugnu on October 7.
A total of 31 medical professionals, including 23 specialist doctors and 8 associates, will arrive in Manipur between October 4 and 8 to offer free consultations, screenings, and treatments tailored to the unique health needs of each community. Specialists participating in the camp include experts in MD Medicine, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Paediatrics, ENT, Physiology, General Medicine, and Dentistry.
The medical camp is aimed at bringing expert care to communities most in need, especially Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and residents of remote districts.
Assam Rifles has encouraged local residents to attend and make the most of this opportunity for free, expert care.
