Huge quantity of WY tablets seized at CCpur

IMPHAL, Oct 5 : Security forces seized 2,000 WY tablets worth approximately Rs 16.66 lakh from a house in Tuibong, Churachandpur district.
A bulletin issued by the Police Control Room late last night said that the contraband items were seized from the house of one Chinhat (44) yesterday.
In a separate operation, police, working with Central security forces, rescued two Kuki individuals-Lalminlun (45), a resident of H Lhangjol village and Sesem (45) from Sangran village, who were found lingering at Yaingangpokpi Bazar in Imphal East.
The rescued individuals have been handed over to their families, said police.
Security forces also recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition and explosives from multiple places yesterday.
According to police, one 9mm carbine sub-machine gun with a magazine, one .303 rifle with a magazine, one 9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with three rounds, one.32 pistol with a magazine, seven local made bolt action single barrel guns, one local made single barrel gun, three Baofeng handheld sets, 10 rounds of .303 ammunition, six barrel cartridges and some protective gears were recovered from Kanglatongbi area under Sekmai police station in Imphal West. From the general area of Kotzim near COB Kotlen in Kangpokpi, security forces recovered one Heckler & Koch G4 with a magazine, two bolt action rifles, two pull mechanism rifles, two improvised mortars, two hand grenades, one tube launcher and two pairs of jungle shoes.
Moreover, security forces also arrested six cadres of different outfits on September 3 and 4.
