Loktak Day greetings conveyed

IMPHAL, Oct 6 : On the occasion of Loktak Day which falls on October 7, Thanga Assembly Constituency MLA T Robindro has appealed to the people of Manipur to join hands in protecting and preserving the lake.
"Let us keep its waters clean, adopt sustainable practices and uphold the bond between nature and society", said the MLA in a message.
Extending heartfelt greetings, the MLA said that it is the largest freshwater lake in the North East as well as the lifeline, identity and pride of Manipur.
Asserting that safeguarding the lake will safeguard the future of Manipur, he said it nurtures the culture, sustains people's livelihood and preserves a rare ecosystem that includes the Keibul Lamjao National Park-the world's only floating National park.
