SOYO extend unbeaten run in IW 1st Divn Football League

IMPHAL, Oct 7 : SOYO, Uripok Kangchup Road extended their unbeaten run in the 30th L Sangita Devi Memorial 1st Division Football League as they rallied back to salvage a 2-2 draw against YAC, Yaiskul this afternoon at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi.
Having beaten KAN 5-2 before playing out a goalless draw with SKYC in the second match, SOYO looked to dominate the earlier proceedings and took the lead through M Bikash in the 29th minute.
I Heman however scored the equaliser for YAC in the 37th minute to make it 1-1 at halftime.
After the restart, Raj put YAC ahead after 74th minute and the team almost sealed their first win in three games but Bhumeshwor poured cold water on their hopes by netting the equaliser for SOYO deep four minutes into the stoppage time (80+4’).
Earlier in the day, SKYC fought back to hold KAN to a 1-1 draw.
KAN entered the break with a 1-0 lead courtesy of Amarjit’s 18th minute goal but SKYC rode on Aman’s 60th minute equaliser to deny all three points.
