Sangai Festival

IMPHAL, Oct 8: The annual Manipur Sangai Festival which was suspended during the last couple of years on account of the violent crisis would return this year.
This year’s edition of the Manipur Sangai Festival would be held at different venues from November 21 to 30, sources said.
The main events will be held at Hapta Kangjeibung and BOAT, Imphal. But Sangai Ethnic Park, Moirang Khunou has been left out from the list of this year’s venues.
Earlier, the main events of Manipur Sangai Festival were held at Hapta Kangjeibung and BOAT.
However, after the development of Sangai Ethnic Park at Moirang Khunou, the main events were held at the park in the last couple of years.
It could not be confirmed which foreign countries/delegates will take part in the Manipur Sangai Festival 2025.
Notably, delegates and cultural troupes from Myanmar and Thailand took part in the festival held earlier.
