4th Governor’s Cup Cycling C’ship Athokpam Bike extends title run with Road Mass Start triumph

IMPHAL, Oct 31 : Athokpam Bike won another gold medal as he topped in the Elite Men’s Road Mass Start event in the ongoing 4th State Level Governor’s Cup Cycling Championship after claiming the 30 km time trial event gold yesterday.
Bike, representing Imphal East, clocked 1:25:08:156 to seal the gold medal in the 60 km mass start event as Angom Yaiphaba of Imphal West finished second with a time of 1:32:33:901.
Kakching’s Mayanglambam Nivash meanwhile settled for the bronze medal with a time of 1:33:44:616.
Thokchom Helen of MPSC on the other hand claimed the Elite women’s 30 km Road Mass Start event with the best time of 00:56:58:461.
Imphal West’s Hijam Nganthoi (00:56:59:925) and Konthoujam Benika (00:57:05:105) finished second and third to settle for the silver and bronze medals.
Imphal East’s Saikhom Bikash meanwhile topped the Junior Men’s 30 km Road Mass Start event by finishing the course in 00:50:52:199 as Oinam Palin of Kakching (00:52:42:487) and Laikhuram Kaiku of Imphal West (00:53:45:665) finished second and third.
Youth Men’s 10 km Road Mass Start gold medal on the other hand went to Yengkhom Dakhin of Imphal West as he clocked 00:17:43:824 to leave compatriots- Yumnam Malemnganba (00:17:51:037) and Yumnam Jemson (00:17:51:281) in his wakes.
