AKSA win 4th Ph Irabot Memorial 1st Division Football League title

IMPHAL, Nov 9 : AKSA, Kwakta were crowned the champions of the 4th Philem Irabot Singh Memorial 1st Division Football League organised by the DFA Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose Hr Sec School ground.
AKSA defeated WPC, Wangoo by 5-4 goals on penalties after a 1-1 regulation time draw to earn the title of the 6-team second tier district league tournament.
Y Dayananda scored it for WPC in the regulation time as Sohail Khan netted it for AKSA before Yunush Khan, Md Jakir, Anish Khan, Fakaruddin and Md Samir made the most of their chances in the shoot-out to earn the 6-5 win. Lanchenba, Mahesh, Yaiphaba, and Shital were on target for WPC in the shoot-out.
