CRPF organises community outreach programme

BISHNUPUR, Nov 13: As part of its Civic Action Programme aimed at empowering local youth and strengthening community ties, the 32 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Loktak, under the aegis of the IGP, CRPF M&N Sector, organised a community outreach programme at Ithai Barrage Community Hall.
During the programme, solar street lights were distributed and installed at Tronglaobi, Terakhongsangbi, and Khudekpi villages under the jurisdiction of Moirang Police Station in the area of responsibility of A/32 Bn.
The battalion also distributed various sports items including volleyballs, volleyball nets, footballs, badminton rackets, shuttlecocks, carrom boards with coin, cricket bats, tennis balls, stumps and bails to several youth organizations.
The beneficiaries included Ithai Youth Club, Laipham Youth Association, Ithai Khunou Relief Camp, Laikhong Youth Club, Laipham Youth Association, Nongmaikhong Youth Development Association and Shine Club, Warukok.
Speaking at the occasion, Ghanshyam Behwal, DIGP (Ops) Range CRPF, Churachandpur, Commandant, and other officers of 32 Bn CRPF highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering goodwill and strengthening the bond between Force and the local population.
They reitaritated that the CRPF remains committed not only to maintaining peace and security but also to promoting socio-economic development in its area of development.
