MU Sports Department selects players for TT trial

IMPHAL, Nov 13: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has named players to be called or selection trial for preparation of the Manipur University Table Tennis (M&W) Teams for participation in the East Zone Inter University Table Tennis (M&W) Tournament 2025-26 to be held at Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh from December 15-19.
Men's Team
K Rohit Singh (JCRE), Thomas Elangbam (JCRE), Shidarth Naorem (Biramangol College), Ksh Nelson (Biramangol College), Athokpam Bairal Singh (Biramangol College), Aribam Akash Sharma (Thoubal College), W Thoungamba Meitei (Thoubal College), Hailube Glady Newme (MU), Rajkumar Kenish (MU), Macdol Saikhom (Imphal College), Borish Laishram (Imphal College)
Women
H Senerita Devi (JCRE), Binita Thiyam (JCRE), Mainam Deepa Devi (JCRE), H Yaiphabi Chanu (JCRE), Th Silky Chanu (Kha Manipur College), Manine (MU), Flora Golmei (MU) and Wonyo Haorei (MU)
These players have been selected for the trial selection based on their performances in the Asem Arunkumar Memorial Manipur University Inter College Table Tennis (M&W) Tournament 2025-26 held at JCRE Global College, Babupara, Imphal, said the Department of Sports, MU.
Institutions which could not participate in the tournament may nominate a player each for on or before November 21 for participation in the trial selection.
The selected players shall report at Dr Kamal Indoor Stadium, MU on November 24 with full playing kits for the trial, said the Sports Department.
