Governor's Award, RK Sanatombi Devi Awards presented

IMPHAL, Nov 14 : After a two-year hiatus, the Governor's Award and the Rajkumari Sanatombi Devi Awards were presented today during a ceremony held at the Asha Jina Complex at North AOC.
The Governor's Award was not conferred in 2023 and 2024 due to the crisis in Manipur, but recipients for 2023, 2024, and 2025 were honoured at today's event.
The Governor's Award is presented to students of Rajkumari Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya who excel in academics and co-curricular activities. It includes a cash prize of Rs 30,000, a certificate, and a memento.
The award was presented to Henbi Pukhrambam Chanu (Class XI-B) for 2023, Sagolsem Ankita Devi (Class XI Sc-B) for 2024, and Nandini Louriyam (Class XI Sc-B) for 2025.
The Rajkumari Sanatombi Devi Awards, on the other hand, are presented to outstanding professionals in education, arts, sports, and social workers, differently abled individuals, nurses, journalists, and students of CBSE schools who excel in co-curricular activities or sports.
Vice Chancellor of Johnstone Higher Secondary School Rajkumari Romoni Devi and Graduate Teacher of Wangkhei High School Dr Bisnulata Bam Tarunkumari Devi on Education category, Female Health Supervisor/PHNS Brahmacharimayum Amusana Devi  on Nurse category, former reporter of The Sangai Express Nando Waikhom in the Journalist category, Chakpram Lokeshori, a resident of Pishum on the Differently Abled Person category, M Jadumani Singh (boxing), Koijam Athoiba (swimming), and Sanjrambam Chaoba Chanu (weightlifting)  on Sports category and Langanbi Soram on the CBSE schools (co-curricular activities/sports) category.
