Senior State Basketball C’ship CDC edge out LMYVA 88-86 in neck and neck semi-final clash

IMPHAL, Nov 15 : Lanchenba’s 22 and Daniel’s 21 for LMYVA went in vain as they went down by 86-88 points to CDC in the first men’s semi-final match of the ongoing Senior State Basketball Championship at Brahmapur Nahabam Basketball Court this evening.
Lanchenba scored 4 triples on the way to his 22 pts finish while Daniel shot 6 treys on the way to his 21 pts finish and Rahul scored two triples on the way to his 19 pts finish to help LMYVA amass 86 points but their efforts went in vain as Jackson (20 pts), Krishnacharya (19 pts), Borish (16 pts), and Tutu (15 pts) led the CDC attack to seal the narrow 88-86 win today.
Revoljit (9 pts), Akash (4 pts), Markandev (3 pts) and Rishabh (2 pts) also found their names on the scoresheet for the winners.
Kemlin (10 pts) and Chingthangkhomba (4) were also among the scorers for LMYVA in a lost cause.
In the senior women’s competition matches staged earlier today, ESU won 24-22 against YOSC while CDBBA registered a 48-25 win against DSWC.
