IMPHAL, Nov 15 : Manipur were crowned the champions of 69th National School Games Volleyball for U-17 boys hosted by Uttar Pradesh in Bareilly.
Manipur edged Uttarkhand by 3-1 sets (25-15, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18) in the title clash today to earn the top honour.
Earlier in the semi-final, Manipur defeated CBSC 25-18, 25-21, 25-17 to book their place in the final.
Yesterday in the pre-quarterfinal match, Manipur registered a 25-21, 25-18, 25-20 win over Himachal Pradesh before securing a 25-22, 25-16, 25-22 against Rajasthan in the quarterfinals.
The State lads had earlier registered conving wins against Lakshadweep, Assam, Bidya Bharati in the Group A league round to qualify for the pre-quarterfinals.
