3rd Premier League : Wahengbam Jack nets twice to fire SSU on top

IMPHAL, Nov 17 : Wahengbam Jack scored twice to set up SSU, Singjamei a 2-0 win over IYFC in a one sided clash of the 3rd Premier League 2025-26 this early afternoon at SSC ground, Sekta.
It was the seventh win for SSU in as many as 9 matches that included a draw and fifth win for IYFC.
Wahengbam Jack found the opener early in the 13th minute to earn SSU a slender first half lead before scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute.
Later in the second match of the day and tournament’s 63rd, SGH thrash RAU by 3-0 goals for the second win in 8 matches that also included 2 draws.
The two sides went into the break goalless as defenders on both ends reigned supreme but SGH found the breakthrough in the 68th minute courtesy of Kongkham Thoithoi before Konthoujam Donel, who subbed in for Laishram Boynao Singh after 60 minutes, doubled the advantage in the 75th minute.
The scoring spree continued with Chanambam Mangal finding the target yet again in the 88th minute to earn the 3-0 win for SGH.
