Apapang now in Somalia

IMPHAL, Nov 18 : Apapang, one of the three Amur Falcons tagged with satellite radio transmitters, has crossed the Arabian Sea and reached the Horn of Africa, specifically Somalia.
Apapang, an adult male, has done this oceanic crossing multiple times earlier.
Ahu and Alang, the other two Amur Falcons tagged with satellite radio transmitters, will reach the Horn of Africa later today.
Meanwhile, Apapang has crossed the Somali desert and is headed to the hilly forested landscapes along the Kenyan border.
Apapang, having crossed into Somalia, has covered another 1000 Kms.
In all, Apapang has covered around 6100 Kms within a duration of six days and eight hours.
