Sports events for children with special needs conducted in Thoubal

THOUBAL, Nov 18 : ZEO Zone III Thoubal today hosted a District Level Sports event for Children With Special Needs (CWSN) under Samagra Shiksha, SIS Manipur at Thoubal DC Complex.
The event held as a part of "Intervention of Inclusive Education for Disabled (IED) Thoubal" campaign was attended by MES-1, ZEO/DPO, Samagra Shiksha Zone-I, Thoubal Y Achouba; DI of School, Zone-ll, Thoubal Ningombam Rajen and Samagra Shiksha Thoubal District Programme Officer, P Sukumar as presidium members.
The programme began with a rally participated by children residing under ZEO Thoubal before they competed in fun games and sporting events including 100 m race, musical chair, blind-hit, balloon bursting etc.
At the event, ZEO Achouba and DPO P Sukumar highlighted the importance of treating all children equally, regardless of their abilities, and stressed the need to identify and nurture the talents of children with different abilities, providing them with optimal educational and emotional support.
