M Somokanta nets twice as AMOFA beat IYFC 3-1

IMPHAL, Nov 1 : Moirangthem Somokanta scored twice to lead AMOFA, Moirang to a 3-1 win over Imphal Youth Football Club (IYFC) in the 38th match of the ongoing 3rd Premier League 2025-26 at SSC ground, Sekta this morning.
IYFC, who are yet to open their winning account in the tournament, found the lead when Ngasepam Diamond beat the AMOFA keeper in the 25th minute.
Moirangthem Somokanta however made sure AMOFA entered into the break on level pegging by scoring the equaliser in the 45th minute.
Khwairakpam Somorjit then overturned the lead in AMOFA’s favour in the 66th minute before Somokanta rose again to net the decisive goal in the 85th minute.
