Potholes to force Mayai Lambi bandh again

IMPHAL, Nov 19 : The Mayai Lambi road from Wahengbam Leikai to Wangoi will be shut from November 22 if reconstruction works do not begin by November 21, Mayai Lambi Apunba Lup (MALAL) has said.
The section of the road was earlier shut to all traffic in October.
The bandh which was launched on October 16 was called off on October 18 after assurance was given by the district administration and Public Works Department to repair potholes and complete reconstruction of the road.
Work was started on a section of the road but has been left incomplete, said MALAL.
If the reconstruction works do not resume by November 21, the road will be shut to all vehicles from November 22, MALAL said, seeking the attention of the district administration and the PWD.
