JTC Manipur members call on Governor at Raj Bhavan
IMPHAL, Nov 19
Members of the Joint Tribes Council, Manipur, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan, Imphal today.
During the meeting, the JTC members submitted memoranda reflecting the collective concerns and aspirations of the tribes they represent.
The memoranda submitted to the Governor highlighted a wide range of issues, including the celebration of the 18th State Level Orange Festival, the Raj Bhavan said in a statement.
During the meeting, the JTC members requested the Governor for timely resumption of the key road project of the Imphal–Kangchup–Tamenglong route.
They also appealed for improved public transport services, infrastructure development, and better implementation of essential Government schemes in Tamenglong district.
The JTC members highlighted the urgency of addressing stagnant projects and service gaps that continue to affect the daily lives of local communities.
They underscored the importance of strengthening connectivity, public services, and sustained support for cultural and economic initiatives.
The Governor informed them about the steps taken to resolve their issue, the Raj Bhavan said.
