21 teams in fray for 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament

IMPHAL, Nov 21 : As many as 21 teams clubbed into four groups are set to vie for the top honours of the 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament to be hosted by the Manipur Veteran Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground.
The tournament to be organised in 30-over an innings format will begin with RNEF, Mayang Imphal taking on SU, Sagolband in a Group D match on November 23.
Notably, YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel, YCC, Wangkhei; NAPSA, Kha-Imphal; LCCC, Lilong Chajing; and BSC-A, Brahmapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai are clustered in Group A while TCMDC, Thongju; YAC, Yaiskul; YPHU-Nongin, Lalambung; CYCLONE, Thangmeiband; and YPHU- Warrior, Lalambung are draw in Group B.
The Group C meanwhile features 6 teams viz- YWC, Langthabal; LCC, Lamsang; KSDO, Kyamgei; REYS, Nagamapal; KCC, Kongba; and SNC, Sangaiprou.
The other teams in the Group D include UCC, Uripok; CHAMP, Khagempalli; and BSC-B,  Brahmapur  Lalji Lakpa Leikai.
Two-top teams from each group after the round robin league will advance to the quarterfinals that will be followed by the semi-finals and the final.
