Antarctica expedition

IMPHAL, Nov 21: A scientist from Manipur has been selected to lead an Indian expedition to Antarctica, according to a press release issued by Manipuri Diaspora Association, Delhi.
It said that Huidrom Nageshwar Singh, Scientific Officer, India Meteorological Department will be leading the “45 Indian Scientific Expedition to Antarctica (ISEA).
The expedition will commence from December 2025 and complete in November 2026.
Nageshwar is a founder member and current general secretary of Manipuri Diaspora Association (MDA), Delhi.
He hails from Wabagai Makha Leikai, Kakching district and presently working as Scientific Officer-I in IMD, New Delhi.
Nageshwar is undertaking this expedition for the 3rd time.
