KYDC appeals

IMPHAL, Nov 23: A retaining wall constructed at Khurai Kongpal Ningthoubung Leikai is tilting towards the river, Kongpal Development Club (KYDC) has said, urging authorities concerned to repair it at the earliest. During an inspection at the site today, KYDC general secretary Laishram Arun said the retaining wall may have tilted due to poor quality of the structure. The structure was constructed 2 years ago. Before and during the construction of the retaining wall, appeals were made to the authorities concerned to maintain quality, Arun said. He urged the district administration and relevant authorities to reconstruct and repair the retaining wall and improve roads in the area at the earliest.
