Hanjabam Hritikraj, M Gulabi adjudged overall best lifters at 15th State Level Powerlifting C’ship

IMPHAL, Nov 24 : PBBPTC’s Hanjabam Hritikraj Sharma  and Maibam Gulabi were adjudged men and women’s overall best lifters at 15th State Level Powerlifting Championship 2025 hosted by the All Manipur Powerlifting Association at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai community hall from November 23 to 24.
Hanjabam Hritikraj, son of The Sangai Express’ News Editor Hanjabam Rajendrakumar of Wangkhei Khunou, recorded best 235 kg in squat, 142.5 kg in benchpress and 232.5 kg in deadlift to amass a total lift of 610 kg to earn the junior men’s 74 kg title and deservingly win the best lifter accollade.
Ningthoujam Herison of NSU finished second in the 74 kg category event as he finished with a total lift of 320 kg (115 in squat, 60 in benchpress and 145 in deadlift) while Thokchom Joshua of The Gym LYS sealed the third place with a total lift of 292.5 kg (105 in squat, 67.5 in benchpress and 120 kg in deadlift).
In the other weight category events of the junior men’s competition, Elangbam Irikhomba of PBBPTC won the 59 kg category title with a total lift of 370 kg as Naorem Thanil of The Gym LYS managed a 385-kg lift to seal the 66 kg category title, Shamurailatpam Ashish Sharma of PBBPTC lifted a total of 387.5 kg to win the 83 kg category title, Haobijam Solanki Singh of The Gym LYS bagged the 93 kg category gold with a total lift of 307.5 kg, Langpoklakpam Maheshkumar of Extreme Fitness won the 105 kg category title with a total lift of 662.5 kg and Moirangthem Rajeshwor won the 120 kg category title with a total lift of 430 kg.
In the senior category competitions, Hijam Sunil bagged the 59 kg category title as he posted 50 kg in squad, 50 kg in benchpress and 100 kg in deadlift as Laishram Indrakumar of United Gym Bishnupur won the 74 kg category title with a total lift of 450 kg, Lourangbam Ginot of United Gym Bishnupur sealed the 83 kg category title amassing 610 kg, Moirangthem Bobo of Mountain Gym sealed the 93 kg category title amassing 410 kg, Saikhom Adison of The Gym Lys bagged the 105 kg category by gathering 522.5 kg.
Maibam Gulabi on the other hand amassed 335 kg (142.5 in squat, 62.5 in benchpress and 130 in deadlift) to win the junior women’s 57 kg category title as well as the best lifter title.
K Velena of PBBPTC won the junior women’s 43 kg category title gathering 277.5 kg as compatriot Kh Luwanganbi bagged the 52 kg category title by amassing 205 kg, Sinam Christina of Life Style Gym won the 63 kg category title with a 267.5 kg finish, Brahmacharimayum Nimi won the 69 kg category title with a 330 kg finish, W Benita of PBBPTC won the 76 kg category title with a total lift of 240 kg and Ningthoujam Bidyarani of PBBPTC won the 84 kg category title with a total lift of 315 kg.
