61st raising day of UNLF observed all over

IMPHAL, Nov 24: The 61st raising day of the United National Liberation Front: Manipur was celebrated at the party's Central Headquarters, MPA GHQs and all units today, said Koireng-led UNLF in a statement.
The main event at the Central Headquarters was attended by its chairman NC Koireng; officiating general secretary M Iboyaima and secretary of Health & Family Welfare O Chingkheinganbi as presidium members.
Secretary of Agri & Environment Y Abo; secretary of Organisation Ksh Yoiheiba; secretary of Finance M Munan; Military Affairs Committee member K Puyaning (CC member) and MPA vice chief of Army Staff L Khongnangthaba and many other senior leaders and party members attended the event, said the Koireng-led UNLF.
To mark the raising day, the party's flag was hoisted and a 2-minute silence was observed to remember and show respect to slain members of the party, it said.
The gathering paid floral tributes in memory of the bravehearts who have made supreme sacrifice, and party leaders spoke on the occasion.
The party members also reaffirmed and took a pledge to sustain the revolutionary movement against "colonial Indian Government" for a free and independent Manipur, said the Koireng-led UNLF. It thanked and appreciated members of the public who attended the event and helped the party celebrate its raising day.
