Nahakpam Arundash wins 15 Reds Snookers Singles title

IMPHAL, Nov 25 : Nahakpam Arundash clinched the 15 Reds Snookers Singles title in the 2nd Men Cave Masters 2025 that was hosted by The Man Cave Billiard Club and Academy, Naoremthong Khumanthem Leikai since November 20.
Arundash defeated Loktongbam Betal in the final to seal the singles title and walk away Rs 30,000 richer. L Betal meanwhile settled for the runner up prize of Rs 10,000.
Notably 32 players across 8 categories competed in the competition.
Winners, semi-finalists and quarter-finalists were all feted with cash rewards during the valedictory function of the competition.
Speaking at the event, the proprietor of the Man Cave Billiard Club and Academy Asem Roshan highlighted State’s tall stature in the field of sports and the growing popularity of snooker in the South East Asian countries and Manipur in particular.
Although the discipline is new, it has attracted many from the State unexpectedly and thanks to them the academy is able to organise such a competitive event for the second time, he said.
He also noted that 3 State players have also featured in the National level tournament hosted by Sikkim last year, he said while exuding confidence that Manipur can surely produce world class players in the near future.
Player cum official of the academy, Ksh Maxson also put forth the larger avenue the game can offer at the occasion.
