22nd Veteran Cricket TCMDC prevail over YAC by 7 wickets

IMPHAL, Nov 25 : TCMDC, Thongju opened their Group B campaign in the 22nd Veteran Cricket Tournament with a 7-wicket win over YAC, Yaiskul at Langthabal Public Ground today.
TCMDC successfully chased down a target of 102 runs in 19.5 overs after YAC opted to bat first and added 101 for all wickets down in 24.4 overs. Sanjit of TCMDC took centrestage as he claimed 6 wickets (6/24 in 4.4 overs) to dismantle YAC for the meagre total while Brajakumar picked two wickets (2/7 in 6 overs) and Krishna (1/14) and Bijesh (1/15) shared two wickets.
Herod 26, Birjit 23, and Chandrakumar 13 led the scoring for YAC in the first innings before Tarun scored an unbeaten 48 off 43 balls to guide TCMDC to the victory within 19.5 overs with the assistance of Krishna, who scored 36 off 40 balls.
For YAC, Kritikumar picked two wickets (2/19) while Chitaranjan (1/18) bagged one.
Sanjit of Thongju, who produced a brilliant bowling performance was adjudged player of the match.
