Training, consultative programmes held

IMPHAL, Nov 28 : A 1-day input distribution cum training programme on “Quality Seed Production on Rabi Pulses and Oilseeds” under AICRP on Seed (Crops) was conducted today at ICAR Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat.
The programme was organised by ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendras of Imphal West, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Churachandpur and Chandel.
The programme was attended by Dr Ch Basudha, Head of ICAR Manipur Centre;  Dr Konsam Sarika, Scientist (Genetics & Plant Breeding); Senior Scientist of ICAR Manipur Centre and SMS of KVKs.
Altogether, 40 farmers selected from six districts of the State participated in the programme.
Meanwhile, Centre for Study of Social Inclusion (CSSI), Manipur University, hosted a 1-day consultative programme on “Transgender Community and Social Inclusion” at its conference hall today.
The programme was attended by Dr L Muhindro, Director, Research & Development Cell, S Kula Women’s College and All Manipur Nupi Maanbi Association (AMANA) secretary Santa Khurai as resource persons.
CSSI’s Associate Professor Dr Thiyam Bharat was also present at the event.
