National Reconsolidation Month to begin from Dec 9

IMPHAL, Nov 29: Organised by the United People's Front (UPF), the observation of the 192nd National Reconsolidation Month will commence from December 9 with the  fetching of sacred fire from Kangla.
In this connection, UPF president N Rupachandra has sought public assistance to help conduct the month-long event.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Imphal, he shared that the 192nd National Reconsolidation Month will be organised under the banner "Eikhoi Amuk Hanna Khuntaklaroisi" from December 9 to January 9.
The event will begin by fetching the sacred fire from Kangla, followed by a procession to the Manipur Press Club.
On December 10, foundation stone will be laid to erect Sana Herachandra's statue at Singjamei Chinga.
The next day, cleanliness drives will be conducted across various historical sites.
A discussion session focused on Maharaj Gambhir Singh will be held on December 14.
A similar discussion on "National Reconsolidation" is scheduled to be organised on December 20 at Red Land, Shillong.  
On December 21, a statue of Bir Tikendrajit will be unveiled at Manipuri Basti, Guwahati, which will be accompanied with a public meeting.
Following this, on December 23, newly developed grounds and a museum will be inaugurated at Chandrapur, Cachar.
Floral tributes will be offered at Awapalli Khubam, Kamaranga and Lengondabi Pat (Khoirel) on December 24. Similar tributes will be paid at  Maharaj Gambhir Singh Palace in Kalyan Gumrah Jalalpur, Cachar the following day.
Then, on December 27 a public meeting will be conducted on National Reconsolidation Month at Dharmanagar, Tripura.
The newly constructed Bir Tikendrajit statue at Bamotia, Agartala will be unveiled on December 29.
From January 5 to 8, bike rallies will be taken out in different areas.
On the last day, a procession will be taken out from MB College to the Langthabal memorial site.
The month-long event will conclude here with offering of prayers.
