‘Agri-Model Farm’ inaugurated

IMPHAL, Nov 29 : An Agri-Model Farm, through Scientific Cultivated Adoption covering 50 hectare area was inaugurated today at Tanoukhul, Ngairangbam, Imphal West district.
The inaugural function was jointly organised by AMPFA, LUSAL, KaPFA, LALLUP and LOYALUP in association with Agriculture Department, Government of Manpur, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, ICAR-Manipur Centre, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government of Manipur and KVK Imphal West.
The function was graced by dignitaries, including Peter Salam, Director, Department of Agriculture, Manipur; K Debadutta Sharma, Director, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Manipur; Dr Ch Basudha Devi, Head, Regional Centre, ICAR-Manipur Centre; Prof K Nandani Devi, Dean, College of Agriculture, CAU Imphal; L Chetan, Superintendent Engineer, MI; and AB Elangbam, convenor, COCOMI Farmers’ Wing. As part of the event, crops seeds (mustard, pea, lentil, potato, onion, garlic & sunflower) were distributed to the famers and a field demonstration was also conducted.
