INF bats for peace and harmony

Imphal, Nov 30: The Imphal Naga Forum (INF) organised a day-long retreat on Saturday at Langol Eco Tourist Peak in Tengnoupal district to deliberate on the prevailing situation in the State and pray for the restoration of peace and communal harmony.
According to the Imphal Naga Forum, the programme served as a spiritual and reflective getaway for members of the Imphal-based Naga Forum, offering them a break from their busy schedules amid the serene surroundings of the hilltop destination.
The retreat was held in the presence of Rev Simon Raomai, President of the All Manipur Christian Organization; Dr D Korunghthang, former Minister; and Dr Chance Raman, Associate Professor at DM University and proprietor of Needy Home Academy and Sorsia Christian College, Mapao Zingtun. Chief Advisor  and other members of Imphal Naga Forum, also attended the event. Members spent the morning in introspection and a prayer session at the scenic site, known for attracting hundreds of visitors daily.
Langol Eco Tourist Peak, now a popular tourist hotspot, is owned and managed by  D Korunghthang, who developed the site during his tenure as MLA of 41-Tengnoupal AC. He hosted the forum members by waiving entry fees and offering warm hospitality.
The team, led by convenor Ambition Anth, departed from Imphal early in the morning and reached the peak at around 9 am.
Participants enjoyed a group photo session, fruits, herbal tea, snacks and a sumptuous multi-course lunch at 3 pm. The day’s pleasant and sunny weather added to the occasion, helping to create a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere.
A session of discussion, interaction, singspiration and sightseeing followed.
Convenor Ambition Anth chaired the prayer summit with a welcome address, after which Dr Chance Raman and Rev Simon Raomai delivered brief sermons on “To God be the Glory”. Their messages inspired and moved the gathering.
