23rd Annual Sports Meet ends

THOUBAL, Nov 30: The 23rd Inter-House Annual Sports Meet 2025 of Ruda Academy, Thoubal, which began on November 26, concluded today with a vibrant closing ceremony.
The programme, organised by the school's Organising Committee, was graced by MLA of Khangabok AC, Okram Surjakumar Singh as chief guest; retd Group Captain of Indian Air Force, Thokchom Sanamatum as functional president; and SDO Wangoi, Maibam Suranjoy, as guest of honour.
During the ceremony, MLA Okram Surjakumar received the salutation from the students' marching contingent.
In his address, he emphasised that the future of the State rests on the shoulders of young students and highlighted the need for proper education from an early age.
He lauded the teachers for their dedicated efforts in shaping young minds and acknowledged the essential role played by private schools, noting that government schools alone cannot meet all educational needs The MLA further stressed the importance of co-curricular activities in shaping student's personalities and developing essential life skills. In the overall results, Visnu House emerged as the champion of the Annual Sports Meet. The event concluded with the felicitation of students who excelled in various sporting competitions during the meet.
