38th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo AR Polo Team-A, MPSC-B win to complete semi-final line up

IMPHAL, Nov 3 : AR Polo Team-A and MPSC-B registered wins in the last two quarterfinal matches of the ongoing 38th N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo tournament to complete the semi-final line up.
In the third quarterfinal match of the tournament, AR Polo Team edged out Chingkheihunba Polo Club (CHPC) by 10-8 goals to enter the last-four round today at Mapal Kangjeibung.
AR Polo team were 1-3 behind CHPC in the opening chukker and further reduced the margin to 5-6 after two chukkers before closing out the gap with a solitary goal in the third chukker as CHPC drew nil.
With the competition wide open, the two sides toiled hard in the final chukker to add to their lead but AR Polo Team came out triumphant 10-8 with M Kuber and Kh Sushilo adding two goals apiece against two goals for CHPC.
S Bon Bon emerged the leading scorer for AR Polo Team-A as he initiated the resurgence by adding four goals in the first two chukkers for the team while Kuber and Sushilo returned with three goals apiece having found a goal each in the first three chukkers.
T Leishemba meanwhile topscored for CHPC adding one in the first chukker, twice in the second chukker and one in the final chukker.
Meanwhile, A Basanta scored one goal each in the first and the final chukkers as O Rozer and Th Kaoba scored a goal apiece.
Later in the last quarterfinal match, MPSC outlasted Arbin PC-A by 8-3 goals courtesy of three goals apiece from Kh Nongpoknganba and T Pradeepkumar, and one goal apiece from Viking Salam and S Abungcha.
O Chinglensana meanwhile scored all the three goals for Arbind PC-A in a lost cause.
