MU Inter College Football MU, Biramangol College, Lilong Haoreibi College advance

IMPHAL, Nov 4 : Manipur University, Biramangol College, and Lilong Haoreibi College all advance to the last-16 stage of the Ayekpam Pratap Memorial Manipur University Inter College Football (M) Tournament that began yesterday at DSA Kakching playground.
In the second match of the 30-team single elimination tournament, Manipur University got a walkover as Nambol L Sanoi College team failed to turn up in time.
Later in the second match of the day, Biramangol College brushed aside YK College, Wangjing by 6-1 goals.
Jackson starred in the match scoring twice (8’, 51’) for the winners as Cameroon (3’), Bikeshor (42’), Jeblin (67’) and Holland (78’) added a goal apiece. The consolation goal for YK College was scored by Y Peter (46’).
Meanwhile, Lilong Haoreibi College rode on Taj Ahamed’s 36th minute strike to knock out Regional College.
