ISBT inspected

IMPHAL, Nov 4 : Additional Chief Secretary (Transport/TCI) Anurag Bajpai inspected the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Imphal to assess ongoing ground levelling and cleanliness operations carried out by the Public Works Department, MAHUD and other departments/agencies, today.
Previously, on October 28, 2025, Bajpai had visited the ISBT and instructed several departments-including Transport, PWD, Forest, MAHUD, Horticulture and MANIDCO to collaborate on transforming the ISBT into an efficient and modern transportation hub.
During today’s inspection, the ACS appreciated various agencies for assisting with their machinery for levelling and cleaning tasks. However, he voiced concerns about unauthorized kutcha structures and obstructed drains within the premises.
Following a detailed review, Bajpai instructed key departments and agencies to work together closely and ensure all vital works are completed so that the infrastructure is fully operational by November 2025.
The ACS was accompanied by the Director (Transport), along with other senior officials from various departments.
