DIMAPUR, Nov 4: The NSCN(IM) has advised other armed organisations not to interfere in development projects earmarked for the hills in Manipur.
In a notification issued today, it said the hill people have not and will not interfere in developmental projects/activities in the Manipur valley.
With regard to the "developmental projects" in the State of Manipur, the NSCN-IM said it will be in the best interest for all to take "due cognizance and respect the sentiments of the different communities".
"In the backdrop of the illicit working systems of Manipur armed organizations with the departmental authorities, which is directly or indirectly hampering the developmental projects/activities in the Naga hill areas, this notification is issued in the best interest of all concerned that, the hill people have not and will not interfere in developmental projects/activities in the Manipur valley", the NSCN-IM also said.
The NSCN-IM then said it expects Manipur armed organizations to not not needlessly encumber themselves with projects earmarked for the hills.
"Taking due cognizance and respecting the sentiments of the different communities will go a long way in developing our own respective spheres of infrastructures, its land and the people", it added.
It also cautioned departments concerned to sincerely execute their works and administration.
