Imphal, Nov 5 : In continuation of their philanthropic activities, Wings of Hope has extended livelihood assistance to a widowed mother of two children by facilitating her ownership of a mechanised loom.
According to a press release, the beneficiary is a single parent of a boy and a girl studying in Class IV and V who tragically lost her husband on June 13, 2023. Since then, she had been earning meagre income by helping relatives sell second-hand clothes. The loom, which is helping transform her skills into a sustainable livelihood, was provided through an interest-free, soft loan on a pay- as-you-earn basis.
As part of its ongoing project “Lights for the Child”, Wings of Hope has also been supporting the education of her two children for the past 20 months, along with 58 other children under the initiative.
Wings of Hope has further appealed to friends, elders, and well-wishers to continue extending their generous support, highlighting that many families in foothill and fringe areas remain in dire need of assistance.
Donations to support the cause can be made at: https://thewingsofhope.in/donate, added the statement.
