Fencing: Manipur win 2 silver, 1 bronze

IMPHAL, Nov 6: Manipur won 2 silver and 1 bronze in the 27th Sub-Junior National Fencing Championship at Main Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak, Imphal today.
Manipur won the two silver in the foil team events, and the bronze in the boys' foil individual.
Thoihensana Meitei Ningombam won the bronze in the boys' foil individual event.
Devish of Haryana and Dodwal Surya Pratap Singh of Uttar Pradesh won the gold and silver respectively.
While team Haryana bagged the gold, Manipur girls' foil team consisting of Joshlin Chanu Naorem, Joshina Devi Ayekpam, Naorem Rashina and Puspa Devi Chungkham won the silver.
Maharashtra and Chandigarh bagged the bronze.
The boys' foil team event also saw Haryana winning the gold and Manipur team settling for silver.
The Manipur boys' foil team comprises Shyrus Soram, Soibam Henthoiba, Thangjam Dorando and Thoihensana Meitei Ningombam.
Team Tamil Nadu and Punjab bagged the bronze medal.
