IW Super Divn Football League YWC-M thrash IFC 3-0 to finish league runners up

IMPHAL, Nov 7 : Youth Welfare Club, Malom (YWC-M) notched up a convincing 3-0 win over Imphal Football Club (IFC), Lamphel to seal the runners up spot in the 25th Super Division Football League 2025-26.
Having edged CHIKL, Chajing by 3-1 goals in the previous match for the second win in 4 matches, YWC-M started confidently and entered into the lemon break with a 2-0 advantage with goals coming from David Yendrembam (12’) and Khumukcham Motilal (47’).
IFC, who have lost three times and drawn once in the last four games, continued to remain clueless after the restart and it was substitute Laishram Sudhir who banged home the final nail to the coffin in the 79th minute and earned the 3-0 win for the Malom team.
With three wins and a draw in five matches, YWC-M went to second place on 10 points behind runaway leaders Juvenile Club, Tera who had registered five of five wins in the 6-team top flight tournament organised by the Imphal West District Football Association at PAMYAL ground, Patsoi Part II.
NC Club, Khonghampat will play CHIKL, Lilong Chajing in the ultimate league match of the tournament tomorrow.
