Manipur University Inter College Volleyball Tournament concludes

Thoubal, Nov 7 :  Oinam Ibeton Devi Memorial Manipur University Inter College Volleyball (M & W) Tournament hosted by Thoubal College under the aegis of the Manipur University Sports Committee came to a close today.
Thambal Marik College, Oinam emerged the men’s champions while United College, Chandel sealed the women’s title in the tournament participated by 11 college teams.
In the men’s final, Thambal Marik College secured a straight sets victory (25/12, 25/14, 25/23) against Liberal College Luwangsangbam to lift the title trophy.
Meanwhile, United College Chandel edged Liberal College, Luwangsangbam by 3-1 sets (18/25, 25/15, 25/19, 25/19) to earn the women’s crown.
The valedictory function was attended by  Prof A Nabachandra Singh, Principal of Thoubal College; N Ibobi Singh, president of Thoubal College Teachers' Association; Dr L Baleshwar Singh, donor of the tournament and secretary of All Manipur Volleyball Association as presidium members who also also led in distributing the prizes to the winners and runners up teams.
