IMPHAL, Nov 8 : NESU beat PANDAM FF in a 5-goal final thriller to secure the title of the State Level U-15 Boys’ Football Tournament held in honour of late Constable Deepak Chingakham, Vir Chakra 2025-26 at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
W Mukaram (18’, 67’) scored twice for the winners in this entertaining final match as E Sterone (27’) netted one.
Meanwhile N Mangaljeet (46’) and Sh Yoyo (70’) scored it for PANDAM FF.
The tournament was organised by the Border Security Force under Civic Action Programme in association with the All Manipur Football Association, reflecting its commitment to fostering stronger bonds with local communities and empowering youths through sports.
The event stood as a heartfelt tribute to the valour, dedication, and supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Constable Deepak Chingakham, Vir Chakra, a brave son of Manipur, who laid down his life in the service of the Nation.
The closing ceremony was graced by L Kailun, IPS, Additional Director General (Law and Order), Manipur Police as the chief guest along with the parents of the martyr along with DV Kowar, president AMFA, and Padma Shri O Bembem, former India international as guests of honour.
The closing event of the age group tournament was also attended by officers and personnel from the Army, BSF, Police, civil authorities, local dignitaries, community leaders, and family of the players, said a press note issued by BSF.
