IMPHAL, Dec 1 : The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) has submitted a representation to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, appealing for the disbursement of all pending and current bills for completed contract works in the hill areas of Manipur and the release of schemes, pension, salary, and honorarium of tribal/Christian Government employees before Christmas 2025.
“Christmas is the most precious and sacred occasion for Christians and comes once in a year on the 25th of December. After working tirelessly throughout the 365 days of the year, this festive season becomes a time for rest, joy, thanksgiving, and spiritual renewal.
It is also a period during which families incur essential expenses as part of the celebration”, read the representation submitted by TYCM on December 1.
Praying that the approaching Christmas 2025 will bring lasting peace in Manipur, the TYCM urged the Governor to ensure the effective maintenance of law & order and prevent the occurrence of any unwanted eventualities during the festive season in the State.
Furthermore, the TYCM, on behalf of the Christian community of Manipur, earnestly implores the Governor to initiate the necessary action in the larger public interest.
