IYFC, KIYC end winless run in 3rd Premier League

IMPHAL, Nov 30 : Imphal Youth Football Club (IYFC) and Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club (KIYC) ended their winless run in the 3rd Premier League being underway at SSC ground, Sekta.
In the 70th match of the 15-team tournament, IYFC ended their wait for a win in 8 games by edging 3-2 past Sang-Gai Heroes (SGH).
SGH and IYFC were evenly poised in the first half and entered into the break with the score levelled at 2-2 before IYFC found the winner through substitute Anjim Ali in the 70th minute.
SGH enjoyed an early lead with Longjam Telemba scoring the opener in the 10th minute before Huidrom Alvishon doubled the lead in the 17th minute. IYFC then halved the deficit in the 28th minute through Amom Krish before Ngasepam Diamond equalised the margin in the 37th minute.
Later in the day, KIYC ended their 10-game winless run by beating United Chandel FC (UCFC) 2-1. UCFC struck first through Makan Jeffrey Renglin in the 23rd minute but KIYC equalised through Md Mustofa in the 61st minute before M Arif scored the winner 3 minutes away from time.
