10th MNCA Plate Tournament SDC steamroll YPHUC by 172 runs

IMPHAL, Nov 30 : SDC, Laipham Khunou shone in both the batting and bowling departments to crush YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong by 172 runs in a one-side Group A match of the ongoing 10th MNCA Plate Tournament today.
SDC raised a commanding total of 255 runs for 4 wickets in 35 overs after electing to bat first at Moijing Public Ground courtesy of an unbeaten 103-run stand between Krishnananda 82 off 63 (9 fours and 5 sixes) and Vinodkumar 51 off 32 balls (6 fours and 2 sixes) after Irom Bipinkumar 35 off 47 and Sanjenbam Nareshchandra 40 off 54 gave the team a flourishing start.
N Rajiv (3/16), Sachin (3/6), Narendra (2/12), Kh Krishnanada (1/24) and Th Arvind (1/5) then wreaked havoc to bowl out YPHUC for 83 runs within 21.5 overs.
For YPHUC, Irom Ishor (2/50), Jangammei Maringmei (1/35), and Irom Sunny (1/47) shared four wickets for YPHUC in the first innings before Irom Ishor 21 off 37 and Bishworaj Sharma 14 emerged highest run getters.
In a Group B match staged elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, KIYC registered a 6-wicket win over SU, Sagolband.
Toss winners SU were bundled out foa meagre total of 114 runs within 23.4 overs as Md Abdul Hamid (4/34), Mv Md Aman (2/32) and Nilkanta (2/16) ran riot across their batting line up.
KIYC then cruised to the target within 23.4 overs riding on leading performances from Md Abdul Hamid 35 off 46 and Md Suhail 22 off 46.
For SU, Th Della scored an unbeaten 33, the highest in the team before Karam Kennedy (2/16), Th Della (1/13) and Angom Alen (1/14) shared four wickets.
