Details of foundation stones laid and projects inaugurated

IMPHAL, Dec 11 : Projects for which the foundation stones were laid include Incubation Centre for Handloom and Handicrafts in three districts worth Rs 7.50 crore, health infrastructure development in five districts under the Health & Family Welfare costing Rs 62.52 crore, installation of solar lighting systems in public places across Manipur under MANIREDA with a project cost of Rs 47.25 crore, construction of office complex of Minor Irrigation Department under Minor Irrigation Department costing Rs 15.10 crore, six projects for Power sector development under MSPCL with a project cost of Rs 337.07 crore, Water Supply Schemes in five districts under PHED with Rs 41.74 crore, infrastructure creation for Manipur police at State and district levels with Rs 84.90 crore project cost, road projects in 11 districts under PWD for Rs 312.29 crore, infrastructure creation for district administration of seven new districts under PWD for Rs 142.00 crore, development of infrastructure for Shirui Heritage Village and Bakshi ground at Ukhrul district under Tourism Department with a project cost of Rs 64.99 crore, construction of Automated Testing Inspection and Certification Centre (State Component) under Transport department with Rs 8.67 crore, development work of Irong Nallah water body costing Rs 14.04 crore, development of sports complexes in three districts under Youth Affairs & Sports Department costing Rs 34.40 crore and eco-tourism projects in two districts under Tourism Department with Rs 7.74 crore as the project cost.
Projects which were inaugurated, on the other hand, are infrastructure development for agriculture sector in four districts under the Agriculture Department, Hill (tribal) Chiefs Guest House at Palace Compound, Tangkhul Headman’s Guest House at Ukhrul under Tribal Affairs & Hills, 132/33 KV Sub-station at Gamphazol along with associated transmission line under MSPCL , 15 Water Supply Schemes, five girls and two boys hostels in four districts under MOBC, infrastructure development for education in two districts under Education (S), boys and girls hostels at Sarita Boxing Academy under MOBC, creation of health infrastructure in six districts, infrastructure development for State police, Ima market (women market) at four locations and administrative cum training building at Tribal Research Institute.
