Veteran Cricket : UCC post 5-wicket win over BSC-B

IMPHAL, Dec 13 : UCC, Uripok rode on Rustum’s all round show to seal a 5-wicket win over BSC-B, Brahmapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai in a Group D match of the ongoing 22nd Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament 2025-26 at Langthabal Public Ground.
BSC-B won the toss and elected to bat first today. UCC however dismissed them for 86 runs in 23 overs on the back of Aribam Ashini (3/24 in 6 overs) and Rustum (3/20 in 5 overs) before Rustum 21 off 22,  Nahakpam Helendro 17 off 35, Trimal Khumancha 16 off 36 led the scoring in the chase that culminated in the fourth delivery of the 20th over with A Ashini 4 not out off 11 and Bipin Haobam 8 not out off 8 on the crease.
N Vedeshor 24, Sushil 15 and N Banikanta 12 were the only double digit run getters for BSC-B in the first innings before H Dippu 2/23 and N Vedeshor 2/19 returned with two wicket hauls in the second innings.
Rustum was eventually adjudged player of the match.
