IBSA cruise to fourth straight win in 10th MNCA Plate Tournament

IMPHAL, Dec 16 : IBSA, Yumnam Leikai posted their fourth Group B win on the trot in the 10th MNCA Plate Tournament with a 74-run thrashing of NAPSA, Kha Imphal at Lairenjam Public Ground today.
IBSA elected to bat first after winning the toss and raised a modest total of 157 runs for all wickets down in 34.5 overs before bundling out NAPSA for 83 runs within 23.5 overs.
IBSA did not have the best of the start but Abdul Rafique stood firm to take the team past the 100-run mark before he was bowled out by A Manoranjan for the highest 71 off 73  for the 8th wicket.
A Manoranjan returned with the best bowling figures of 3/28 in 5 overs for NAPSA as Tongbram Dhanakuber 2/27 and Wayenbam Naresh 2/31 shared four other wickets.
In reply, NAPSA started wobbly and slumped to 83/10 in 23.5 overs as Khundrakpam James 3/15, Md Shah Jahan 2/14 shared five wickets as four others claimed a wicket apiece for IBSA.
Only Ksh Richard 28 and Laishram Electronic 17 not out off 27 were the double digit scores for the NAPSA as four batters got out on ducks and the rest added single digit scores.
Elsewhere at Moijing Public Ground, YWC-Patsoi beat RRCC for their second Group A win in four matches.
YWC erected a huge total of 245 runs for all wickets down in 34.4 overs after electing to bat first and held RRCC to 129/9 in 23 overs to seal the huge win.
Thokchom Milan scored a 65-ball 76 for YWC-P in the first innings that also saw Laikhuram Jagat 38 off 54, Leichombam Priyobrata 33 off 23 made significant contributions.
L Pravin Kumar 3/30, Ajay 3/43 and Moirangthem Rameshwor 3/45 all picked three wickets in this innings before they folded up their chase at 129.
Sanasam Ruby 20 off 25, Bineto 17 off 13, Yumnam Medhajit 14 off 9, and Moirangthem Rameshwor 14 off 20 were the main run getters for RRCC in the chase that saw Lamyanba 2/29, L Johnson 2/19, and Laikhuram Jagat 2/6 sharing 6 wickets and three others pick a wicket apiece for YWC-P.
