18th Manipur State League YOSC beat FC Raengdai in 7-goal thriller, UPAA edge Imphal FA 2-1

IMPHAL, Dec 16 : YOSC, Khurai overcame FC Raengdai by 4-3 goals as UPAA, Kyamgei edged 2-1 past Imphal FA in today’s matches of the ongoing 18th Manipur State League at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the Group A match of the day, FC Raengdai led the first half 1-0 thanks to Kamei Langanglung Kabui’s 45th minute strike.
They further extended the lead to 2-0 with Laishram Bikramjit, who came off the bench after the restart, finding the target in the 59th minute.
They further raced to a 3-0 lead with Kamei Langanglung Kabui scoring his second in the 75th minute but YOSC who were languishing for a major portion of the match found their way back into the game with Worchuipei Kashung (78’), Maibam Nganthoiba (81’) and RN Yangmiching (83’) scoring a goal apiece.
As the game looked to end in a draw, Laishram Daniel Khuman scored the winner 2 minutes into the game for YOSC to upset FC Raengdai and their fans.
Later in Group B match, Pongshungbam Harish (30’) and Mohammad Akib Alam (33’) scored a goal apiece for UPAA to earn a 2-1 win against Imphal FA.
Vincent Shaiza scored the only goal for Imphal FA in the 37th minute.
