Prisons and Correctional Department conducts sports meet

IMPHAL, Dec 17
A 10-day Annual Sports Meet-2025 conducted by the Prisons and Correctional Department, Manipur at Manipur  Central Prison, Sajiwa came to a close today.
The mega sporting event for the inmates of the prison was brought to a close formally in the presence of IK Muivah, IPS, ADGP (Prison); SK Badrika, SP, MCJ- Imphal and Syed Abdul Samad, MPS, SP-MCJ, Sajiwa who also led in distributing prizes to the participants and winners.
Inmates of the prison participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in 8 sports disciplines during the 10-day event. This year’s edition also saw meritorious inmates receiving special prizes for best conduct and discipline.
Speaking on the occasion IK Muivah highlighted the welfare of the prisoners and also informed about various developmental works carried out and to be undertaken in future.
