140 acres of poppy destroyed

IMPHAL, Dec 17: Security forces and a team of Ukhrul district Forest Department destroyed a total of 140 acres of poppy plantation at LM Block, Yaolen Chepu and Lamlai Chingphei areas today, said police.
During the operation, the combined team also burnt down 16 huts at the sites.
