16 IEDs seized in CCpur

IMPHAL, Dec 18 : Security force seized 16 abandoned ANFO (paste type) IEDs at Lungdeiphai  Leinom Village junction in Churachandpur,  today, said police in a bulletin.
The  bombs have been neutralised, it said.
The bulletin also said that four members of Pambei led UNLF were arrested from different locations today.
It said that the arrestees identified as Borish Sagolsem (25) of Yairipok Laimanai, Sh Herojit Sharma (32) of Yairipok Bishnunaha Mayai Leikai, Asem Amar Meitei (20) of Sabal Awang Leikai in Bishnupur and Md Salman Khan (35) of Yairipok Tulihal had hijacked a truck loaded with boxes of iced fish from Maharabi-Pheidinga stretch under Sekmai police station earlier in the day. The hijacked truck along with boxes of iced fish have been recovered, police said and added that two tipper trucks which were used in shifting and transporting the fish boxes from the hijacked truck have been seized.
The drivers and handyman of the seized vehicles have also been arrested, it added.
