86 Bn CRPF distributes solar street lights at Kharam village

IMPHAL, Dec 19: Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), the 86 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force on Friday distributed solar street lights at Kharam village under New Keithelmanbi Police Station in Kangpokpi district.
As per a release issued by the 86 Bn CRPF, the programme was conducted under the aegis of the IG, M & N Sector CRPF, with the aim of improving basic amenities and strengthening community welfare in the area.
The event was graced by K James Rongmei, Assistant Commandant of the 86 Bn CRPF, as the chief guest. Among others present were Inoka K Jimomi, Assistant Commandant, OC A/86 Bn; Inspector Dwarka Nath Yadav, OC, F/86 Bn; the village secretary, village elders and local residents.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest highlighted the CRPF's consistent role as a pillar of stability and security, while also working to build trust, mutual respect and understanding with local communities.
He stated that the programme is aimed at improving the quality of life, supporting local needs and fostering goodwill between the CRPF and the local populace.
The village secretary, elders and residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the 86 Bn CRPF for the initiative and conveyed hope that similar welfare activities would continue in the future.
